Service Description
This workshop is curated for parents and a child, fee charged is per pair. 1) Price inclusive ; - 1x type of indoor plant - 1x plastic vase - Packs of sand, coco peat, fertilizer - Hi-tea & light refreshment - A pair of children friendly hand shovel 2) Tentative Schedule (40–60 mins) 0:00 – 0:10 | Welcome & Introduction - Brief introduction about Jaga Pokok and the purpose of the workshop. - Short icebreaker: “What’s your favourite plant at home?” — let kids & parents share. - Quick safety & cleanliness tips (gloves, tools, soil handling). 0:10 – 0:25 | Potting Session: “From Empty Vase to Home for a Plant” - Step-by-step demo by facilitator: choosing the right pot, adding drainage, layering soil. - Parents & children work together to pot their chosen plant. - Highlight simple care tips (watering, placement, sunlight). - Encourage kids to name their plant 0:25 – 0:45 | Propagation Time: “Make a New Plant!” - Show how to take a cutting (e.g., from a pothos or monstera) and prepare it for propagation. - Explain the difference between water and soil propagation in simple terms. - Hands-on: families do their own cuttings and place them in jars/vases. - Talk about growth timeline — how roots form over weeks. 0:45 – 1:00 | Wrap-Up & Sharing - Quick recap of key steps: potting + propagating. - Kids can share their new plants and give them fun names! - Parents receive a simple care card to take home (watering schedule, propagation care tips). Optional: group photo or “family & plant” portrait End with light refreshments / Q&A. 3) Workshop / Seminar place location will be at a shoplot area, facilities provided are : - Free parkings - Toilet - Pantry - Small room for diaper changing / breast feeding - Play area with toys will be provided for distracted learners. Disclaimer : please bring extra clothes for your child as it will get messy as it is intended too. Expect the child to smudge sand all over their clothes.
